Songs of Joy

The mystery of death.

On the one hand the purveyor of all evil in this world, the signifier of all impurity.

Yet only by overcoming death can we enter into the mystical realm. It is a hero’s journey, in which we have to pass through the valley of death, and emerge, with faith, and G!d at your side. Only by encountering the energy of death, and overcoming it by choosing life, by finding what means more to you than death.

Thus I ask, “What is that?”

Songs of Joy

Within the fluid harmonies
That form the music of the spheres,
You searched for me
And, having found me,
You knew me.

With the harmonies all around,
You search for me
And you know me

Whatever path I walk
You enclothe me
You already know
All my ways.

When I descend
And when I rise,
You know me.
You understand my thoughts
Before I think them.

As the energy from behind,
And in front, You try me.
Cloaked in your Divine Web,
You laid Your hand on me
Such knowing is too much,
Too wonderful. It is so high,
I cannot attain it.

Where can I not be in Your presence?
Where are You not?

If I ascend to the heavens,
Or make my bed in the earth
You are there.

Were I to have had the wings of the morning
Or dwelt in the depths of the ocean,
I would still be held by your hand.

Even the darkness
cannot hide
from You.
Night shines like day,
For the darkness
And the light
Are both the same
to You

When I was enshrouded
In Darkness
And it covered me
Then even the Dark
Will be as light
Around me.

You laid the tracks
Of my life,
Just as I emerged
From the womb of
my mother.

I am fear-
fully and
wonder-
fully
made.
Your works are
so awesome.

My soul knows very well

I will praise You
And lift my voice and body
In songs of Joy.

And What of Shamans?

Capable of Causing eclipses by Swallowing the Sun

Shamanism has blossomed these past years and rightly so, as it is very needed on our Earth at this time. But what of the shamans? How do we know who is real, who is true? As I have walked this path, I have come across many shamans, shamans from indigenous cultures who may have been great healers but have taken advantage of the energy of others, shamans who are not initiated into any particular culture, but they are impeccable in their work. Some shamans are full of ego, some have incredible gifts and talents, and some are just for show. There are techno shamans, ceremonialists, shamans who live in wildness, and some work quietly at home. Many are good healers, and some are better teachers. There are shamans who will not be called shaman, preferring another name, and some who do not care what others call them. We all have the archetypal shaman healer inside us, but not everyone is called to work this way on the outside, to totally BE that very Nature.

To do this requires fortitude and many years of training with teachers. This is an imperative action. I am very grateful to my teacher...forever, as she has helped me grow into myself, and she has blessed me with the energy of her lineage, filling me to this day.

Shamans are wounded healers, humans, everyone has been through trauma and pain. It is this experience and wisdom that helps them expand and connect with the one who needs their help and assistance. But here is the caveat, it is essential that they continue to do their own work too, it is absolutely necessary that they clean out their own thoughts, their own inner landscapes and continue to clear their non desirable patterns. Otherwise they run the risk of falsity, of over empathy, and thus holding a clients energy down instead of releasing it.

As shamans, we are here in human bodies, and the more I do this shaman work, the more human I become. I am honored.

much love,
Lyn Spirit Eagle.

Calling your Spiritual Guide

Guides come to guide you; they are not your boss. You are your boss. You are not their boss.

Guides are numinous embodied energy. Embodied as a recognizable being, they arrive in many shapes and sizes. I notice that it does not matter what culture a person comes from, angels, jaguars, wolves, porcupines, phoenixes, can appear. The shape they come in tells us something of the nature of the energy they bring to assist us, or what it is we need to work with.

We all have guides and we can all call them. We need to be open, commanding with clear intention (who wants to receive a wimpy guide?). Do this in your sacred space where you will be undisturbed. Take your time and let it be a sacred event, something special. If no one comes, that’s OK, another time will come. You can also receive guides in ceremony or with a shaman to facilitate you.

There is wonderful love and compassion with our guides and if not, question your need for a guide who is not loving you. The frequencies of guides we want to attract are sacred, loyal, and trustworthy. We have our own frequency, and a blend of many other frequencies that we enter or activate. Receiving a deep and potent Panther may be a frequency of energy that challenges us in our ruthlessness; or encourages us to understand the powerful shadow side of our moon, the beauty in the dark. A praying mantis reminds us to be still, especially when we are blocked by trying to make decisions. The mantis never makes a move unless she is totally positive it is the right thing for her to do. Whatever the medicine of your guide, you need to feel happy with them in the sweet spot in your centers.

Our frequencies are our own and we are responsible for them.

Look into your new guides eyes, they must respond and look into your eyes too. If you feel uneasy, tell them thank you, but no thank you. They must leave, you do not want any lurkers...

They must arrive in front of you or from your right. They must tell you their names, ask them. Do not share these names with anyone. It may be a peculiar name, no matter; it is for your personal relationship only.

They must tell you what they will be assisting you with.

They can be with you all the time or anytime, this depends on what you want. You can discuss this. You can call upon your guide from anywhere. Breathe!

Sometimes a person has Water as a guide, or Jesus, or a plant and that is OK, they must still arrive when you need them. Sometimes we have a few guides for different kinds of work.

Pay attention to your guides often so that your relationship grows and the energy doesn't dissipate. Smell them :) You let their energy flow in you.

xx

Workshop ~ Adventure 1 ~ energy.

There is a lot of info and talk about ENERGY, having energy, seeing it, running it, and doing something with it. There are many types of energy that we dance in, blunder around in. I would like us to work a little more closely with some of them. This Saturday afternoon, @ 3pm, 13th April, I would like to share (vibrate sound and light) perspectives and practical ways of handling it. These will be Medicine Spaces, and here we will do some practical exercises with our auric fields, find fulcrums, points of Zero Space (centering), disentanglement, relationship (the energy between two points), barriers and constraints. We will practice shield body exercises, protecting, clearing and repairing outer shields and nurture inner shields. Be prepared to do some movement that may be challenging, though not compromising

If there are enough of you, we will do Breathwork as well ( http://www.cmichaelsmith.com/shamanic_breath.html ). please let us know soonest.

Sunday 14th @ 10am ~

Making Rattles

A simple shamanic tool with many uses. Traditionally a rattle was made with organic materials, but we can use tins, or bottle tops too, as rattling is essentially about breaking up static energy with intention, or calling an attention, settling energy, making protective barriers and focusing. SOUND (ENERGY) vibration, a tiny sonic boom, can be very useful in aiding a person to project energy.  We are the ones who shake out a particular sound vibration from a container and it can take a long time to master. Like the drum, the rattle serves as a bridge from everyday consciousness to sacred altered states. It can assist us to turn down internal dialogue and becomes the vehicle you ride into dreamtime and Mystery. It is excellent for doing diagnostic work, for opening up areas where energy is blocked, for re-establishing energy flow, and for helping to remove dense energy.
Some rattles have medicines such as acorns or shells and bells tied on the outside; some have beans, bones or seeds enclosed on the inside. What you put in your rattle will determine the sound produced: beans can be sharp and staccato. Gem stones and pebbles a harder heavy sound. Sea shells a brighter rushing sound, and seeds create a soft swirling effect. Have a Google of images and materials to make rattles. You are also welcome to buy one of those R10 maracas from a Chinese store, feel if it feels OK as a basic, you can paint and decorate that, and make it in as your own.
Sunday @10am. Bring materials, we will journey for our personal information on our rattle and then make them. I imagine we will be finished @3pm, so bring some lunch to share.

email Lyn for info or to book. Thanks :) [email protected]

Artists of the Spirit.

[BEING] ARTISTS OF THE SPIRIT – Lyn De La Motte
“The breath, the vessel about me, a quickening, moves down, in. The many colored flames in a circle were a surprise and delight as I entered my sanctuary”….
“A long, copper serpent set on a wall covered with the blood red leaves of fall.
The serpent has a fin all down its back.  I called it the Copper Fossil serpent. I
was nervous about this snake. The whole area felt of snake…”

Our inner journeys abound with metaphors, synecdoches and hue filled images from our psyche. The allegories of our inner landscape are of assistance to us in our manifestation from the intangible into the tangible. With discernment, we can throw a bridge across the chasm that separates the sublime from the density of the 3D world; we can shapeshift our way of life on the planet.

There are different kinds of inner journeys we can go on. Some have permissions and gateways to negotiate. And before entering another realm, it is advisable to check whether we are allowed to enter those spaces or not, as some pathways may not lead to the most beneficial space. For example, we may be entering the dream of a lover, or someone else’s sacred and intimate place.  For the journey to our inner sanctuaries, our axis mundi, we ask the trees who guard the pathway if we may enter. In Kabbalistic writing, they speak of guardians along the path and we must ask permission in the correct way, or have a password, to continue.

When we do plant journeys, we also need to ask permission or blessing of that plant as vehicle.
Journeying provides insights into your life, its meaning and purpose. It trains your ability to move from the 3D world into an altered state where healing can occur. It is a valuable skill as you can vitally empower yourself by creating a safe and sacred place in your axis mundi from which to do your journey work. From this place, you can be guided to source and clear up issues, place your intentions.

Often these days, in our 3D world, we are trying to make money or a better life for ourselves in some way that we THINK, is the correct way. But we are not our minds, our thoughts or our bodies. We are Spiritual Beings experiencing this material world in these human clothes – our bodies. We have an innate aspiration to Ascend and release the Divine sparks of light enclosed in the depths that we encounter.
So we go inside to find out what is in our hearts, the center of our selves, and in this way, with proper intention, we become empowered to co-create the 3D world we live in.

We can ask questions, but it is important to ask the right questions, for the structure, our relationships, are different in altered states. The rules are not always in the way we think of it as being from our experiences in this realm. That is why we need a teacher, or a power guide to decode this inner, shamanic narrative and show up the true felt-sense of our hearts.

We need the discipline of our protocols to ascertain the axis mundi in journey work. For instance, we can become smitten by playing out there in the cosmic soup without any boundaries, so first learn the place of your axis mundi, your own sacred space of creation. It is representative of the symbiotic tension of constraint and creation. Besides engraving the tracks and signposts upon your neuron pathways, constraint is also needed for creation. Space, in our world, is necessary for events to happen and thus we need to constrain ourselves in order to create this space for them to grow. Also, by constraining ourselves, we are able to control the energy flow. The more consciously we can do that, the more clearly we are able to determine that energy flow. Energy does not pour out in flamboyant bliss when we are constrained. We need to separate the “this” from the “that”, to notice the spaces and the relationship between, so that we can prepare the space for our creativity. It is as though we make river banks to allow the waters to flow. This is the time of separation from the mundane and the waiting on information from Great Spirit as to how to fill the space. Only then are we to allow something into the space.

We have given a structure of meaning to the word “Creativity”, and it is spatial and innovative, it has a certain unfolding or enfolding dimensional temporal quality. It is metaphorical, conceptual, has form, poetic even. It is transformative in that we participate in it. It is the mysterious process by which we come up with new ideas and new ways. If we don’t have this then we have no more movement, no more transformation, no more challenges in life—in other words, no more humanness. By paying attention to our inner images, the allegories of our inner landscapes and what they say, we are asking the wisdom of our inner guidance to help us to move more lucidly through life.

There is an “energy from beyond” that vivifies our bodies. By engraving these pathways of emergence and by being disciplined about acknowledging them, we can get to know the Way, we can make signposts. These protocols have been handed down to us from the Ancient of Days. They are well defined, and we engrave them by going there often. It is like any practice. Any discipline.

In the beginning, it is like going on a holiday to a new place. Arriving at night, we notice the traffic lights and hotel. We go in and sleep. Upon awakening in the morning, we notice that the traffic lights are still there and that the hotel is pink. But now, in addition, we notice that there is a shop on the other side of the road and the beach is around the corner. The following day we notice more. Spaces and structures come to light and negotiating the area becomes easier as now we have noted the signposts that help us to stay on track. This is similar to negotiating the sacred space of our axis mundi which resides in another realm, just as our eyes only go to where we have told them to go to bring back information.

We create from chaos, and chaos knows no bounds—feminine as she is. Order defines the boundaries so that the throwing of our dreaming bodies into new possibilities does not land in a chaotic mess. Structure holds the vessel in which we meet the future that we have created. Be still. Understand and allow the beauty of Saturn—the great teacher of measurement, structure and constraint—to in-form the possibilities of our futures. It is within that crystalline structure that life has the most degrees of freedom.
We can call upon complexity theories to show us how it works but to stick to simple language, when practicing magic one does not stand in the cauldron but steps back, separating oneself from the quickening, in order to allow it to express itself.

One of the most profoundly creative journeys we can do for our well being is a forgiveness journey. We may have forgiven a person or event time and time over, letting go of patterns as we do these days but still, it hurts. It is because as we hurt, we create armor, a husk, a shield, to protect us. This is painful to be trapped in. It is this armor that we forgive ourselves for holding. It is almost like our personal ventilation system that is blocked close in to our self. Compounded by fear we hold this shield for our vulnerability, in case…in case…we hurt again. It is an expression of our separation and creation of space that fear can reside in. So we fashion the sacred space of our own axis mundi to forgive ourselves first, removing the heavy energy residing in our bodies and placing it outside, in the manifest world. When I prepare for this ceremony, I place a bowl of water near to me.  My guides assist me to find the place where the felt-sense of the hurt resides in my body. I take it out and place it in the water. This energy can be signified by any variation from black muck to darts or arrows. When I return from the journey, I bless and thank the water for holding that dense energy for me and pour it into the earth. By letting it go, and placing it with Mother Earth, who deals well with it, who takes it, I become cleansed of hurt and anger.

Explanations from neuropsychology on how the brain functions during a shaman’s journey link Heidegger’s debate that understanding is “always ahead of itself” thus projecting expectations that interpretation attempts to clarify. Physicist Von Neuman asserts that “we futuristically collapse a wave function in ways that cause a fundamental, unknowable disturbance in the system”—creating and spontaneously bringing into existence something that did not exist before. Therefore, it can be said that we “know” already, what the synecdoche and metaphors mean, when they are retrieved from our inner conscious by an artist of the spirit who brings them forth into creation.
We are all Artists of the Spirit
An authentic artwork is not always a comfortable narrative. Its beauty comes forward from a unique personality in an expansion of individuality “and that in one divine moment, and by selecting its own mode of expression, a personality might make itself perfect”.
